Edmund W.

I want to go home.

Home — where I lay in my firm fluffy bed

With a pillow beneath my head

And you within my arms.

Home — with blankets thick to hide

From the snowy storm outside

And we’re safe from all harms.

Home — where my breath slows at your touch

And I never think too much

About my false alarms.

I want to go home.

Home — where I take my fears in stride

Because you are by my side

The demons to help fight.

Home — where I can catch my rest

With your hand upon my chest

And it just feels right.

Home — the faint smell of coffee brewing

As my fears all fall to ruin,

Even my parasite.

I want to go home.
